Comprehensive renovations and substantial additions — the kind that reimagine how a home lives, not just how it looks. We work on projects where architecture is genuinely required: full gut renovations, significant structural changes, and additions that meaningfully expand the home's program.
Interior Design
This is not interior decorating — it's interior architecture. We work at the level of space itself: where walls land, how rooms connect, how light moves through a sequence of rooms across the day. The furniture and finishes matter, but they follow from decisions about structure and volume that only an architect can make. The result is interiors that feel inevitable rather than assembled.

At a lot of firms, the principal you meet at the pitch disappears once you sign — and you're handed to junior staff you never interviewed. Here, Nathan leads your project from first call to final walkthrough: he designs your home, walks your job site, and hands you the keys, with our full team behind him. You get the principal and the bench.

If you're considering a stock plan or production builder:
A floor plan you download online was designed for no one in particular — which means it functions for no one perfectly. Your site, your local code, your family's rhythms: none of that was considered. Production builders aren't much better; they optimize for their process, their vendors, and their margins, and you choose from a preset menu. With AA+I, the design starts from scratch — designed for your land, your life, and your climate — and the architect who designed it oversees construction. No handoff, no dilution.
If you're considering other architects:
Plenty of firms can produce a competent set of drawings. What's harder to find is a practice where the principal designs your home, walks your job site, and hands you the keys — not a junior team you meet after the contract is signed. We pair that principal-level involvement with photorealistic 3D walkthroughs so you know exactly what you're building before a shovel touches ground, a documentation standard that eliminates "I thought we agreed…" moments, and a schedule that's a promise rather than an estimate. The difference isn't in the drawings — it's in the year you spend getting to them.
If you're considering an unlicensed home designer:
An unlicensed designer cannot stamp structural drawings, cannot pull permits in their own name, and typically carries no professional liability insurance — which means when something goes wrong, the liability lands on you. Beyond the legal exposure, there's a knowledge gap you can't see until it costs you: Florida Building Code compliance, wind-load and structural engineering coordination, site planning for drainage and setbacks, energy code compliance, and the hundreds of details that separate a permitted, insurable home from one that isn't. A licensed architect carries that expertise and stamps it with their license. An unlicensed designer shifts that risk to your balance sheet.
If you're going direct to a custom home builder:
It sounds efficient — skip the architect, let the builder handle everything. In practice, the builder hands the design to whoever is cheapest on their bench, and you get the worst of all worlds: no control over the design, no attention to the details that make a home yours, and no one advocating for your vision against the builder's margins. The same builder can ultimately build your house — but giving the builder control of the design process is the fastest way to ensure you won't get what you really want. The architect works for you. The builder works for the builder. When the architect is removed, so is your advocate.
We don't take every project. We can't.
Our calendar isn't measured in project count — it's measured in attention. A complex home gets scheduled for the time a complex home deserves, which means the number of clients we take on is small and changes year to year. We'd rather tell you honestly when we can start than start before we can give you everything. If your timeline has flexibility, tell us early — the calendar fills in order of commitment, not inquiry.
